How AI Saved My Mother's Life When Doctors Failed

The Decision

I had just started learning about AI and machine learning. I was nowhere near an expert. But I had her complete medical history, lab results, imaging reports—hundreds of pages of data that I'd scanned and digitized.

I fed everything into multiple AI diagnostic systems. Claude, GPT-4, specialized medical AI models. I cross-referenced symptoms, compared patterns, looked for correlations the doctors might have missed.

The Discovery

The AI identified a rare condition with a specific treatment pathway. It wasn't a common diagnosis—which explained why the doctors missed it. But the pattern was there, hidden in the data.

I organized an international medical journey, connecting with specialists who had experience with this condition. The treatment worked. Today, my mother is alive and healthy.

Why I Build What I Build

This experience fundamentally changed how I view technology. Most developers build features. I build solutions to life-or-death problems.

When I automate a restaurant's payroll system and save them 38 hours per month, I'm not just "optimizing a workflow." I'm giving someone back their weekends with their family. When I build an AI training system that reduces onboarding from weeks to days, I'm reducing stress and improving lives.
